Nepal Travel Guide

This document is intended to provide you all the details to make your Nepal travel Easy & Enjoying:
Nepal is culturally and economically very similar to Bangladesh yet an international tourist destination. I was overwhelmed by a lot of inspirational travel materials on travelling to Nepal. However I was missing how as a first time Bangladeshi traveler can explore this beautiful country easily. In this short blog, I am going to present all the mandatory information you need to travel Nepal for the first time from Bangladesh.
Best Time to travel:
Based on your interest, whether you like rain or sunlight, hiking or just exploring culture, or rather interested in festivals, Nepal has always something to offer you. If you like to experience festivals, then September-December is the best time since all the major festivals Dashain, Indra Jatra, Yomari Punhi festival are celebrated during these months. And If you love the clear sky and beautiful view of Mount Everest, then November-January is preferable. To explore the busy life of Kathmandu, April-June could be the best choice for you.
Visa Process:
First of all, as a Bangladeshi Traveler, you will need a Visa, there are 2 ways to get Nepal “VISA”. You can process documents and get on Arrival VISA after you arrive at the airport, alternatively you can collect ETA (E-Travel Allowance) from Bangladesh and get on arrival VISA with much required convenience for your first time travel. For Bangladeshi travellers, the VISA fee is free for the first trip within 365 days. Afterwards, it costs around $35. It is always a good idea to check the official website.

Flight:
There are several airlines that provide flights to Kathmandu. However, Currently only 2 direct flights are operated by Biman Bangladesh Airline and Himalayan Airlines between Dhaka to Kathmandu daily. The price can vary, but in general for Economic class two-way ticket prices range from 30 to 40 thousand BDT. It's a good idea to book flights earlier to avoid additional airfare.
Accommodation:
When it comes to staying at a hotel, you can always book a hotel online. You can decide to stay in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Bangladeshi travellers normally stay in the area of “Thamel” which is a neighbourhood in Kathmandu. Most of the travelers in the world stay in this area due to easy access to other traveling spots through local transportation and availability of hotels and foods. All the facilities are centralized in this neighborhood, so it is the first choice of tourists to stay.
For how many nights:
It depends on what you want to do, if you want to visit only Kathmandu then you can stay for 3N/4D, or you want to travel a bit and explore multiple places (Kathmandu & Pokhara) then we recommend you to stay for 4N/5D or 5N/6D (Ghuddy.com/All-tour ). In that case you can make your stay a little more exciting by taking some additional adventure activities. (see activities section below).
Food:
Normally, breakfast is provided at the hotel. For lunch and dinner, we recommend trying out from local restaurants. In Kathmandu, you will find good quality restaurants around the area of Thamel. Thamel offers a variety of delicious local foods like the famous Momo & Gundruk. This unique food makes the journey much more enjoyable. In Pokhara good restaurants are normally on the lake-side(Central lakeside & North lakeside). From dining out to local snacks, we would recommend you try Thakali Thali, Sel Roti, and Kheer. These are some of the traditional cuisines that are must try.
Activities:
In Nepal you can wonder about Cultural, Historical as well as Natural diversity. In this regard Kathmandu has several spots for instance: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) respectively. Pokhara is mostly for adventure, it has its own flavour & experience. Doing Paragliding, Boating on Phewa Lake, various sightseeing: Sarangkot Sunrise Tour & Davis Falls and Gupteshwor Cave like it’s a never ending experience. There is so much to explore. We also recommend exploring shopping facilities for yourself in Kathmandu, souvenirs to carry the memory of the country or gifts for close ones as a memento of the place.
And finally, if you are visiting for the first time, we recommend you to take local tour guide support to get the best of your travel. Normally, different travel agencies provide Nepal tour packages which include full board tours & some activities. If you buy a tour package, it is recommended to clearly see what is included and what is not to avoid any inconvenient situation. By the way, Ghuddy has all inclusive travel packages which you can checkout as well. Feel free to reach out to Ghuddy travel experts: support@ghuddy.com.
For now, this is all about a short trip to Nepal, in the future we will try to represent a different view of Nepal or another place where you can explore easily from Bangladesh.
As Rick Steve would say: Until next time, keep traveling!
